Howard Fredman was for 20 years a member of the Century City law firm of Fredman*Lieberman *Pearl, LLP and its predecessors. He has litigated complex business cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout California for more than four decades. Mr. Fredman is a past-President of the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), past member of its Board of Governors and Chair of its Resolutions Committee and he headed the BHBA’s delegation to the Conference of Delegates of California Bar Associations.
He was also a former president and program chair of the Southern California Business Litigation Inn of Court, a former Chair and long-time Executive Committee member of the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and former member of LACBA’s Board of Trustees. His expertise on antitrust matters was developed while a Senior Attorney and Counsel for Atlantic Richfield Company from 1975 through 1987. He has also served for more than 20 years as a court-appointed Mediator/Attorney Settlement Officer for the Federal District Court in Los Angeles and has expertise and experience defending and prosecuting business contract and tort litigation, class actions, and cases related to the Internet, commercial real estate, banking, trademarks, trade secrets, defamation, unfair competition, and “anti-SLAPP” suits.
Mr. Fredman is a 1966 graduate of Princeton University and a 1969 cum laude graduate of Columbia University School of Law. He also clerked for the Hon. Milton Pollack of the USDC for SDNY.
